- How can I join TVA? See How to apply for TVA membership (18 and over) or Junior Membership (under 18). TVA is members only, No day tickets.

- How do I renew my membership? See Renewing Members Online Application Form.
- How much is membership? See Membership Prices (Juniors are free).
- How do I pay? By PayPal, by debit / credit card, or by cheque / postal order. For further details see online application forms.
- How do I find TVA waters / access gates? See How to find TVA Waters.
- How do I get the gate codes? When you receive your membership book, text 07976 794880 with your full name and membership book number.
- Can I night fish? Yes. (safeguarding restrictions apply to junior members - see Junior Online Application Form).
- How long does it take to get my membership book? Usually 2 / 3 days (so long as we receive everything we need to process your application). If you're collecting it you'll get an email when its ready (to arrange collection text 07976 794880). Or by post, If you haven't received it after 7 days of applying email [email protected].
- What is "concession" membership? It means you get a discount if you are 65 or over and on a state pension, or you consider yourself disabled.
- Is there a waiting list? There is currently no waiting list for the River or Dunkirk Pond BUT there is for Holme Pit. See New Members Online Application form and Renewing Members Online Application Form.
- Can I apply for Holme Pit membership? Yes (see below). If you are an existing TVA member you can go on the Holme Pit waiting list (send us an email and we'll let you know when a place becomes available).
- How do I add Holme Pit (or other TVA waters) to my current membership? See Upgrading your Membership.
- Do I have to pay the one-off £20 admin fee? Yes, all new members have to pay the £20 admin fee (see below).
- If you rejoin within 6 months of your membership expiring you do not have to pay the £20 admin fee again. If your membership expired over 6 months ago you are a "lapsed member" and you have to pay the admin fee again.
- Do I need my membership book before fishing? Yes. See Membership Rules (you are not a member until you receive your book).
- I've lost my membership book, how do I get a replacement? Email [email protected]. Your admin fee covers one replacement book. Further replacements cost £5.
- Can I park behind my peg? You can park behind all river pegs. You can't park behind the pegs at Dunkirk Pond and some pegs at Holme Pit.
- How far do I have to walk to my river peg? Most river pegs are directly adjacent to parking area(s).
- I struggle with uneven ground, what are the river banks like? Some are relatively flat, some sandy and / or stony and some have steps.
- How long does my membership last (over 18)? Membership runs for 12 months and your membership expiry date is on the photo page of your membership book. You will receive an email when your membership is due for renewal.
- How long does junior membership last? It expires the day before your 18th Birthday. See Junior Membership (under 18).
- Can I take a friend, my kids or dog fishing? Yes. See Conditions of Membership.
