These are the conditions of your membership when fishing or visiting TVA waters.When you have applied for membership (using either the online form or the paper form) it means you have read, understand and agree to follow these at all times. Conditions are subject to change and it is your responsibility to check these before fishing or visiting TVA waters.
To deal with members who do not follow their conditions of membership, we use 3 strikes and you're out! This means if you break any of these conditions, your membership book will be "snipped" and you will receive a verbal warning. If it happens again, your book will be snipped again and you will receive a written warning. On the 3rd strike,your membership will be revoked immediately and you will be asked to leave TVA waters - you are not entitled to a refund.
Members must follow all TVA Membership Fishing Rules. In addition to the rules in your membership book, new rules may be added to the website at any time so check the Membership Ruleson the website before fishing or visiting TVA waters
Members must show their membership book when asked by a TVA committee member or bailiff (if you don't, we'll treat you as a non-member and take appropriate action to remove you from our waters). You are not a member until you receive your membership book. If you lose or damage your membership book the first replacement is free, any subsequent books will cost £5.00.
Guests, one non-fishing family member, partner or friend may accompany you but must be based on your peg. For safeguarding reasons, if accompanied by a child, they must be under close supervision at all times and not left to wander around on their own
Dogs welcome but must be under close controlat all times or be on a lead
Report anyone fishing the river during the close season (midnight 14th March to midnight 15th June) to a Committee member or bailiff and then report it to the Environment Agency Hot Line 0800 60 70 80 (it only takes a few minutes)
No fires, damage to trees, vegetation, pegs, platforms, steps, structures, fencing, gates or signs
Report vandalism to a committee member or bailiff (details here Contact and in your membership book)
Vehicle accessto Holme Pit, The Pads, The Willows and Weir Field is from Fox Covert Lane bridleway off Green Street / Mill Hill roundabout. No vehicle access from Clifton Village.
When driving through the gate to Holme Pit, do notdrive across the field - keep to the left and follow the field edge track
Fox Covert Lane is a public bridleway(not a public road). It isused by horse riders, walkers, cyclists, families, young children, dog walkers. Do not exceed the 5 mph speed limit and always slow down or stop when passing or approaching horses and other bridleway users
Shut and lock all gates when entering and leaving (even if you find them open)
Your membership gives you permission to access TVA waters for fishing purposes only. It is not permission to access the adjoining private land for poaching or any other activities, or purposes
