Trent Valley Angling (TVA)

Trent Valley Angling is managed by Holme Pit Action Group. We are a not-for-profit group of volunteers with a passion for angling, wildlife and the Trent Valley. We offer membership to fish at Clifton and Lenton in Nottingham and Barton in Fabis, South Nottinghamshire. If you have any questions, please see our FAQs page or get in touch.

We are a member of the Angling Trust (www.anglingtrust.net) and The Conservation Volunteers (www.tcv.org.uk). Our core aim is to respect the environment and the land we fish on and to promote good fishing practice.

News and Updates
New River Codes and arrangements for arriving / setting up on June 15th. The new codes were emailed to members 8th June (please check, including your spam folders). If you didn't receive it, please email [email protected] with your name and membership book number. The new codes will work from 12pm / midday Monday 15th June.
Arrangements for arriving and setting up on June 15th
1. while waiting for the gates to open, do not park near the gates, block the gates or the access tracks - these are used 24/7 by landowners and residents
2. no vehicle access to TVA waters until 12pm / midday on the 15th June
3. no leaving items on or around fishing pegs before 12pm / midday on the 15th June - these will be removed
4. before arriving / setting up, you are advised to read and apply our Membership Rules and your Conditions of Membership
5. the obvious one, so shouldn't need saying but - no casting out / fishing until midnight on the 15th June (i.e. the 16th of June).

Holme Pit waiting list (for existing TVA members). If you are put on the waiting list after 1st June 2026, when a place becomes available you will need to attend 2 works parties before you can add Holme Pit to your current TVA membership - if you are applying for new membership and want to go on the waiting list, follow the instructions on the New Members Application Form or How to apply for membership.
Next Committee meeting Sunday 14th June at 9.30am Holme Pit
No parking / fixed penalty signs have been erected at Dunkirk Pond, Jesse Boot Avenue. We have discussed this with the landowner and been advised to make sure we place our membership book on the dashboard so its clearly visible. Please let us know if you have any issues.
