A condition of your membership (click here for conditions) is that you keep the gates locked at all times – if you find a gate open, please lock it.
Gate codes are issued when you have received your membership book (you do not need a code for Dunkirk Pond). When you receive your book, to get the codes, please text 07976 794880 with your full name and membership book number (so we know who you are). Holme Pit Pond (nearest postcode is Burrows Farm, NG11 8NQ) Vehicle access - via Fox Covert Lane bridleway off the old A453 (Green Street). At Mill Hill Roundabout take the exit for Barton and Thrumpton. The turning to Fox Covert Lane is approximately 100m on the right. Continue along the lane then just before Burrows Farm turn right down the hill and Holme Pit is around 500m through the gate (combination lock) on your right. When driving onto the field, keep left and follow the field edge track. Do not drive across the field. You can park behind the pegs along "the Arm" up to the "corner peg". The field can get very muddy after heavy rain so leave your vehicle inside the gate and check ground conditions before driving any further. On foot, from Holgate Car Park in Clifton Village continue down Holgate hill bridleway. At the bottom turn left and continue along the bridleway towards Barton and Holme Pit is on your right.
The Pads (nearest postcode is Burrows Farm, NG11 8NQ) Continue along Fox Covert Lane (nearest postcode is Burrows Farm, NG11 8NQ), passed the gate into Holme Pit, turn left in front of the yellow gate (combination lock), follow the track to the wooded area and through the gate (combination lock) on your left. The Pads start at the wooded area and runs upstream to the field boundary fence / hedge. Parking available behind all pegs. Keep to the field edge track and do not drive on the fields.
The Willows (nearest postcode is Burrows Farm, NG11 8NQ) Continue along Fox Covert Lane (nearest postcode is Burrows Farm, NG11 8NQ), passed the gate into Holme Pit, go through the yellow gate (combination lock) follow the track towards The Weir, turn left towards and continue passed the Hydro Power Station. The Willows start at the end of the Hydro Power Station and runs upstream to the end of the chalets on your left. Parking available behind all pegs. Keep to the tracks and do not drive on the fields.
The Weir Field / The Bay / Cherry Island - NO VEHICLE ACCESS FROM CLIFTON VILLAGE Vehicle Access - Use the directions as per The Willows and you will see The Weir Field on route to The Willows. The Weir Field section starts at the end of the Hydro Power Station wall and runs downstream to the slate beds just passed The Bay. Parking available behind most pegs. Keep to the tracks and do not drive on the fields. Please do not drive to / from the Weir via Clifton Village. On foot - from Holgate car park in Clifton Village (NG11 8NH) continue down Holgate hill bridleway. At the bottom turn left and take the first track on your right and you’ll see the Weir and Hydro power station ahead of you. The Hydro Power Station site is private property. Your TVA membership does not entitle you to enter or fish from the Hydro Power Station site.
ACCESS TO THE WEIR AND THE WILLOWS IS THROUGH THE YELLOW BARRIER ONLY - DO NOT DRIVE PASSED THE CHALETS
Barton Ferry Field (off Brown Lane, Barton in Fabis NG11 0AD) Turn off the old A453 (Green Lane) into Barton in Fabis (turning closest to Clifton), at the bottom of the hill continue straight on into Brown Lane (signed Barton Ferry). Where Brown Lane veers left, turn right and go through the red and yellow gate (combination lock) and follow the track to the river. Ferry Field starts next to the chalets on your left and runs downstream to the caravan on your right. Parking available behind all pegs. Keep to the tracks and do not drive on the fields.
Dunkirk Pond Jesse Boot Avenue, off university Boulevard, Nottingham NG7 2RU. Limited parking is available adjacent to the access gate on Jesse Boot Avenue (there are parking restrictions on the road - put your membership book on your dashboard so it is clearly visible through the windscreen)
