Following further discussions on the Work Party rule and buy out fee, the rule and fee have been scrapped. This means from 2018, TVA membership is cheaper. Click here for 2018/19 prices.
As an incentive to attend work parties, we are offering 2 free Membership Books to the 2 members that attend the most work parties. These will be awarded at the AGM. For more information on work parties and other ways you can help, click here

2nd Phase of the weed removal. All welcome - get all your work party requirements done in one weekend! Once again Paul Middleton will be bringing his weedcutter boat along to remove more of the weed from the pond. Phase 1 was extremely successful and we hope that the phase 2 will be equally successful. We really do need all hands on deck for this project, tea/coffee/refreshments will be provided throughout the day. Great turnout today for the work party down at the weir. Not everyone that took part managed to make it onto the photo as they were still coming up the hill with more bags!. In an hour and a half we managed to remove about a skip's worth of rubbish - a real team effort. Next work party planned for when the river goes down when we will be concentrating on the bay area of the Weir.
The AGM is being held on Friday 15th April 7.00pm at the Fairham Pub, Clifton, Nottingham NG11 8LT (next to the roundabout at the junction of Green Lane and Farnborough Road).

Welcome to Trent Valley Angling!
This is the sister site to www.holmepit.wordpress.com. The Holme Pit Action Group was initially set up to renovate and look after an area of water known as Holme Pit at Clifton, Nottinghamshire (also known as Colonel's Pond by locals). As the group has developed over the years it has taken on responsibility for various stretches of the River Trent's fishing rights. Whilst conservation is still at the heart of the group's ethos this website has been developed to further promote the fishing aspect of the group's activities. |
