Holme Pit SSSI has been awarded a Green Flag Award in recognition of achieving the national standard for parks and open spaces.
A really BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has helped manage this important local site over the last 19 years for both fishing and wildlife. We could not have done it without you!
The next two work parties are on Sunday 9th and Sunday 16th September. Meet at the Pads at 9am. Work includes hand pulling the reeds and cutting back trees along the Pads and the Willows.
We'll be working from a boat and in the margins so please bring chest waders if you can. Everyone welcome. Click here Work Parties and Events for more details.
During the school summer holidays from 24th July until the 30th August Holme Pit will be open to TVA junior members aged 14 (and below) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week.
We will supply the fishing tackle and bait for free and one of our Committee members will meet you at the pond, help you get set up and start fishing.
If you would like to book a fishing session, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone John on 07976 794880.
Please note, junior members must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times during the session.
The GDPR became law on 25th May 2018. This means that all organisations, including Trent Valley Angling, must make their members aware what we do with their data / personal information and how we store and protect it, and members must agree to this.

HPAG believe this is not an appropriate development for this area and there are other more suitable sites available.
It will have a negative impact on Holme Pit, the surrounding environment and local wildlife sites and habitats.
