When Government announced that fishing was allowed during the lock down restrictions, on 13th May the Angling Trust asked the Government to clarify if night fishing is allowed during the restrictions because camping (and staying out, away from home) is not allowed. Camping / staying out overnight is allowed only if you are (legally) fishing. The river season doesn't start until midnight on the 15th June. Therefore, until midnight 15th June anyone in a bivvy, under a brolly or other shelter on the river bank is classed as camping and not fishing. To comply with lock down restrictions and AT guidance, we ask that members do not set up until 7am on Monday 15th June (obviously no fishing until midnight).
